About us
Our project, Smart Oasis, was born from the need to support desert travelers with essential life resources like clean water, navigation, and emergency support — using sustainable, smart technologies.
Our goal is to create an autonomous, AI-powered survival system that works without human intervention and is fully powered by solar and wind energy. We designed and tested the system in the Liwa Desert, one of the UAE's most challenging environments.
This project taught us how to integrate renewable energy, smart automation, and environmental design — not only to solve current problems but to pave the way for future desert technologies.
How It Works
Smart Oasis is built to function fully off-grid using renewable energy and smart automation.
Here's how it works:
Solar Panels & Wind TurbinesThe system generates electricity using a 40-kilowatt solar panel array and wind turbines, storing excess energy in battery banks for continuous operation.
Water Extraction & FiltrationWater is collected from the atmosphere using solar desalination and atmospheric water generation. It is then purified through reverse osmosis and UV treatment to provide safe drinking water.
AI MonitoringArtificial intelligence is used to monitor system performance and environmental conditions. It ensures automatic operation, detects issues, and provides self-servicing features to avoid breakdowns.
Navigation & CommunicationGPS systems guide travelers through the desert, while satellite connections enable emergency communication and live tracking to ensure safety.
Oasis DesignThe site includes shaded seating, parking, food stalls, and healthcare access—offering comfort alongside functionality.
